Stress Free Pet Grooming

You’ve done all your research and found the best PET GROOMING SALON for your pet. You’ve called there and spoken to the staff and asked all the right questions, and gotten all the right answers. But you are still concerned about leaving your pet for a few hours with virtual strangers. Most dogs and cats will experience a certain level of anxiety when being away from their home, but there are a lot of things you can do to reduce the stress your dog or cat may feel when going to a pet grooming salon.

The following tips will help you and your dog relax a little more:
1. Keep your dog on her regular diet. Stress can cause gastro-intestinal issues, no need to exacerbate that by switching up her food!

2. Set a good example by remaining calm and collected! Your dog is super sensitive to your feelings and emotions. Allow plenty of time when you drop your pet off so that you aren’t rushed. Say a quick goodbye and leave knowing you have chosen a great grooming salon and the staff will take good care of your pet.

3. Keep in mind that regardless of the pet grooming salon you choose, and how well adjusted and outgoing your pet is, your pet may experience a certain level of stress. Remind yourself that you’ve done a great job choosing the perfect groomer. Then try to relax a little yourself.  Just think how beautiful he/she is going to look after a day of pampering!

Thank you for pointing out that remaining calm is a great way to help your dog enjoy the groomers. My husband and I just rescued a dog and she is in dire need of a nice grooming. I'll have to look into finding the best groomer in my area to give her a beautiful new look.

I was talking to my sister the other day about her search for a pet grooming service. She is trying to make sure that it is stress-free for all parties involved. It might be helpful for her to know that it might be impossible to get her dog to feel stress-free since it is a new environment.

I thought it was interesting how you said that you should remain calm while your dog is being groomed because dogs are sensitive to your feelings and emotions. My wife and I recently rescued a dachshund from our local animal shelter, and we have noticed that his fur is extremely ragged and dirty. It would be great if we could find a reputable grooming service that can make him look and feel as good as new.

I like what you said about staying calm while grooming your dog since they'll be sensitive to your emotions. My sister wants to make sure that her dog looks clean in the coming weeks. I'll share this information with her so that she can look into her options for professionals who can help her with this.

My dog hates taking baths, and I decided I want to take her to a grooming service, but want to make sure she gets more relaxed. I like that you recommend to set a good example and remain calm, as well as keeping my dog on a regular diet. I will definitely follow your advice, now that I know how a bad diet can affect her stress due to gastrointestinal issues.

Thanks for sharing wonderful information. Every pet requires some sort of grooming. In pet grooming, we do bathing, brushing, nail trimming, coat clipping, etc.

It's good to know that pets might be stressed regardless of what pet grooming salon you choose. My dog doesn't usually get stressed. But I could see him getting nervous at a salon.

I like how you mentioned that it is important to be calm and collected for your dog. My cousin mentioned to me last night that she wants her pet to have a grooming service due to knotted hairs and asked if I have any idea what is the best option to do. Thanks to this informative article and I'll be sure to tell her that she can consult trusted mobile dog grooming services as they can answer all her inquiries and will provide good quality service.

Thank you for your advice to stay calm and collected when you are dropping your dog off. My husband and I are taking our dog to the groomer and have been wondering how to best help him not be too anxious during the whole thing. We'll be sure to try this out when we take him over next week and see how it helps him.

I am most captivated when you wrote that you should say a quick goodbye to your dog and leave knowing you have selected a great grooming salon and the staff will take good care of your pet. I am always anxious about sending my dog for grooming since I'm not sure if they can make my dog comfortable. I think the key is finding a reliable dog grooming service that has a good reputation for providing pet care.
