Changing climatic conditions effect flea and tick 'seasonality' so that each yer has the potential to differ from the previous year. Year round treatment is the best way to ward off fleas and ticks and we recommend keeping up with your usual forms of treatments. Topical applications such as Front Line are very effective but may take a few days to build up in your dogs system. Brewers yeast has also been proven to be effective as well as a diet containing garlic. Flea collars can be somewhat effective but may only prevent the pests from settling around your dog's head and face. Flea sprays are very effective at killing off fleas but there effects only last a short time. Remember that a proactive approach is best in dealing with fleas and ticks however, if your dog has a large infestation we would be happy to give them a flea bath for you. The effects are instant and will repel fleas and ticks for up to 48 hours.
